Frequently asked questions

A few things to know about tips, odds and results.

Is NoseAhead completely free?

Yes. All tips and results are free to view. There is no subscription, and you don’t need an account.

When do new tips appear?

Usually around 10 minutes before the scheduled race start. Timing can vary, and new tips appear automatically on the page.

Why are there no tips today?

We only post a tip when a race meets our selection criteria. Some days have more tips than others, and some may have none.

What is a point?

A point is a unit for measuring results. In the calculator, you choose what one point is worth. For example, +5 points at €10 per point is +€50. Changing the amount only changes the display; it doesn’t place a bet.

Can I get the odds shown on a tip?

The odds shown are the recorded price from the bookmaker named on the tip. Prices can move, so the odds available when you check may be different.

What does BOG mean?

BOG means Best Odds Guaranteed. Eligible bets can be paid at a higher starting price. We show a BOG badge when that adjustment is included in the result. Your bookmaker’s terms apply.

What do ROI and win rate mean?

ROI is the net profit as a percentage of the recorded stakes. Win rate is the percentage of settled, non-void tips that won. Tips awaiting a result don’t count as losses.

Why is a tip awaiting a result or marked void?

Awaiting result means the result hasn’t been confirmed on the site yet. A void tip is cancelled and counts as neither a win nor a loss.

Where can I find older results?

The results archive lists picks with their recorded odds and outcomes. Use “Older results” to continue through the record. You can also load more tips below the calculator on the homepage.

Can I change the odds format or currency?

Yes. Open Settings in the top-right corner to switch between decimal and fractional odds, or euros and pounds. Currency changes the calculator’s display; it doesn’t convert money between currencies.
